We at United Disciples Christian Church want to encourage you to know Jesus Christ.

We are open to new people and we are growing in spiritual awareness. Perhaps you can help us with that.

We are a new church with a strong heritage from 2 great former Disciples of Christ churches. Howett Street Christian Church of Peoria and West Bluff Christian Church of West Peoria united with each other in July of 2005 to form United Disciples Christian Church. We worship and conduct other church related activities at 2018 W. Kellogg in West Peoria. (309) 673-9097.

Our congregation is part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States. As a church, we believe:

Jesus is the Son of the Living God and offers saving grace to all people
All persons are God's children
The Lord's Supper, or communion, is celebrated weekly and is openly given to all believers
Each person is free to determine individual belief guided by the Holy Spirit, the Bible, and other sources as well, through prayer, study, and discussion
We practice believer baptism by immersion (going down into the water and rising up in newness of life in walking with Christ), but we respect other forms of baptism in other faith traditions, such as infant baptisms or sprinkling baptisms (You do not have to be re-baptized with us)
We respect and encourage diversity of beliefs in our own church and other faith traditions as well, believing that all Christians should cooperate in ministry as much as possible regardless of holding different opinions and beliefs.
We believe in the oneness of the church, that all Christian are called to one in the Body of Christ, and to share the Good News through the way we live our daily lives, and the way we reach out to others.
